Fliesler Meyer may be just the place for you. We counsel a broad spectrum of clients in the areas of patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights. The firm offers associates the unique opportunity to develop a multi‑faceted and exciting intellectual property law practice, directly interface with clients, and work in a diverse and challenging atmosphere.

Fliesler Meyer is a medium‑sized firm with a world‑class clientele, ranging from internationally known corporations to small Silicon Valley start‑ups. The majority of our clients are involved with high‑tech electronics and software, allowing us the opportunity to advise our clients on cutting‑edge technology and legal issues in the area of intellectual property law. These issues often focus on patents, including patent prosecution, litigation, and licensing. Our clients also frequently require advice regarding obtaining, enforcing, and licensing trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights.

We are one of the most highly respected intellectual property firms in the Bay Area. Still, the firm has a relaxed, family‑like atmosphere. Attorneys work with their doors open and are always willing to have a friendly conversation or answer a question. Our emphasis is on teamwork and working hard to produce a high‑quality work product.

Our San Francisco office is located in the Financial District, close to our Silicon Valley clients as well as to our clients in the expanding technological areas of the North and East Bay. The Financial District buzzes with energy, and anything you might want is within walking distance, including BART, North Beach, Union Square, and Chinatown. To top it off, the view of the San Francisco Bay from our offices is nothing short of breathtaking.

If you are ready to make a change, the firm is always looking for independent, motivated and responsible attorneys seeking to develop a well‑rounded intellectual property practice. Potential candidates should have a technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or other field relating to the electronics or software industry, or in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology and possess at least 2‑3 years of IP prosecution or litigation experience.
