  •  Identifying and managing clients' intellectual property matters (assets, liabilities and procedures); 

  • Counseling clients in the development and implementation of business and legal strategies for obtaining and protecting patents, copyrights, trademarks, mask works, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights; 

  •  Working with clients to develop business and legal strategies for trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and other intellectual property; 

  • Conducting non-infringement and invalidity analysis on behalf of our clients; 

  • Advising clients on procedures for, and adequacy of, avoidance of potentially valid patents through technical design-around; 

  • Negotiating, preparing, administering and enforcing intellectual property agreements and transfers (licenses, technology transfers, foundry agreements, assignments and similar matters); 

  • Preparing and prosecuting patents, trademark and copyright applications in the United States and throughout the world, including all phases of advanced prosecution such as patent appeals, re-examinations and interferences;

  •  Providing technically detailed opinions regarding the infringement, validity and avoidance of patents;

  • Rendering opinions regarding infringement, validity, and value and cost of patent, copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights; 

  • Performing preliminary trademark screening and comprehensive pre-registration clearance searches for corporate, product, service and product family marks; and  

  • Litigating, arbitrating and resolving intellectual property disputes in state and federal courts.
